BY WHICH THE NATIONAL FREQUENCY ALLOCATION PLAN (PNAF) OF THE REPUBLIC OF PARAGUAY IS MODIFIED WITH THE AMENDMENT OF NATIONAL NOTE PRG-71 AND THE REPEAL OF NATIONAL NOTE PRG-75
透過修改《巴拉圭共和國國家頻率分配計劃（PNAF）》，修訂國家備註PRG-71並廢除國家備註PRG-75
Considering that through the DIE-GAR/0017/2024 report, a proposal was made to amend National Note PRG-71 and to repeal National Note PRG-75 with the objective of establishing 8 channels of 50 MHz of bandwidth in the 3.300-3.700 MHz band, considering that the proposed changes are necessary to advance the process established by Resolution Directorate No. 836/2024 related to 5G and to align with international norms (ITU-R, 3GPP, CITEL) and harmonized with the regional uses, mainly in Mercosur and Region 2 of America.

Considering that the Radiocommunications Management, in its DIE-GAR/0017/2024 report, after analyzing the proposal and its impact on the future development of mobile bandwidth in Paraguay and considering the planned use of the 3.300-3.700 MHz frequency band, concludes that it is important to update the notes, mainly regarding the frequency bands destined for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) and the potential of the 3.300-3.700 MHz frequency band.

THEREFORE: The Directorate of CONATEL, in its ordinary session held on June 26, 2024, Act No. 28/2024, and in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 642/95 of Telecommunications and its Regulatory Decree No. 14.135/96,

Art. 1 APPROVE the amendment of National Note PRG-71 of the National Frequency Allocation Plan (PNAF) as follows, which will become part of the current PNAF text:

PRG-71 The 3.300 to 3.400 MHz frequency band is reserved for IMT Systems, Mobile Telephony Systems, and Wireless Access Systems for Data Transmission.

The 3.400 to 3.700 MHz frequency band will be destined for primary service fixed systems (point-to-point or multipoint systems) and mobile service systems for the provision of Mobile Telephony Services, Wireless Access Systems for Internet and Data Transmission. Until the end date established by CONATEL for such use, these systems will be authorized to operate.
